Sky Blu is another aircraft refuelling site, 200 miles south of Fossil Bluff. I spent a week there in January 2004 while installing a Low Power Radiometer. The strong winds prevent snow accumulating on the ice of the glacier and so the planes land on their wheels on the blue ice.
